Eleni Nicolaou

Bio

Eleni Nicolaou (b.1999, Larnaca, Cyprus) is a visual artist based in Athens, Greece. A graduate of the Athens School of Fine Arts with an integrated Master’s degree, she is currently a PhD candidate researching trauma theory in art. Her work combines mixed media, installation, and large-scale painting with a strong expressionist aesthetic, often exploring themes of cultural trauma and historical memory. She has exhibited widely in Greece and abroad, including at the House of Cyprus, Michael Cacoyannis Foundation, Accademia Albertina (Turin), and the Greek Cultural Foundation in Stockholm. Her installation Gallows in Nicosia is part of the Cyprus Ministry of Culture’s permanent collection. She has also taken part in numerous workshops, educational programs, and international art exchanges.
